I keep watching all of the interviews and debates and still questioning what these people stand for. My short story is that my family of 5 is living on less than $2,000 a month at this point because of life happening. Nothing is perfect and I have learned over the years to accept that I will never be the 1% unless I win the lottery that I don’t play.
I see the prospective republican candidate, Mitt Romney, and he is a stiff. I cannot tell whether he believes what he is saying or not because there is no passion in his body language. He will inflect his voice in the right places and it almost sounds like he cares but his body language does not say that. It is like someone glued a steel rod to his spine and he cannot remove it. He also just is not real. It is like going to a vending machine and picking B-4 instead of A-6 today and that is what he is.
The President is an excellent speaker. The man could move the dead with the way he uses words. What would take me a paragraph to say he can get across in a sentence or two. That is important to a lot of people but I am still unsure of a lot of his ideas.
I tend to vote democrat even though I am listed as a voter as independent. The reason for this is my christian upbringing. I went to catholic elementary school while attending an independent prodosent church then went on to attending an Assembly of God church while attending public high school. I have been surrounded in many ways by religion all my life. While I do not attend church ever Sunday I do have an opinion on the women’s rights debate. What comes to mind with me is a bible verse; Judge not lest ye be judged. I don’t remember where that verse came from but it sticks in my head, especially now that the gray area, birth control and abortion, is so much in the focus of the news lately. While I would not get an abortion it is not my placed to require that another person follow my values. I was taught to spread the word, not enforce my beliefs on the public at large. My opinion based on the bible verse is that I spread the word and give my OPINION, not try and force everyone to believe as I do.
